Laura Zaharia

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Zaharia worked in the compliance department of two banking institutions, where she monitored regulatory, security, and reputational risk factors, while providing guidance to other department employees on those matters. Previously, Ms. Zaharia was selected as the 2016-2017 Dean’s Fellow for the Fashion Law Institute, the world’s first center dedicated to law and the business of fashion. Ms. Zaharia received her Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law, where she served as the Publications Director of the Fordham Art Law Society. She also externed with the Business and Legal Affairs Department of FilmNation Entertainment and performed pro bono services for Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. Prior to her legal career, Ms. Zaharia was part of the Social Media Team at Bloomingdale’s and held various public relations internships in the fashion industry, such as Jimmy Choo and PR Consulting. Ms. Zaharia received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies from Fordham University College at Rose Hill. Ms. Zaharia is admitted to practice law in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and is a member of the Fashion Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association as well as the Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Section of the New York State Bar Association.
