Kirk Smiley

Kirk leads the work with school districts, state leaders, and education associations, helping them leverage the platform to serve their educational priorities and bring the most support to their teachers and students. He's presented crowdfunding best practices and policies to thousands of district administrators, including at national and state-level AASA, ASBO, NSBA, NAESP, NSFA, and ISTE conferences. He previously spent 10 years managing the corporate and foundation partnerships after joining DonorsChoose back in 2007, originally directing the Indiana statewide expansion.

Kirk graduated with honors from Purdue with a B.S. in Management, a B.A. degree in English Literature and Religious Studies, and an MBA from the Krannert School of Management.
