Robert Myers has a strong background in Mathematics and Physics, with degrees from University of California, Berkeley and University of Missouri-Columbia. Prior to joining DOOR International as President/CEO, Robert worked at Bethel College for almost a decade in various roles including Associate Professor of Mathematics, Dean of Division of Sciences, Chair of Mathematical Sciences Department, and Assistant Professor of Mathematics. In their current role, Robert collaborates with DOOR's leadership team to fulfill the organization's mission of serving Deaf communities worldwide through sign language Bible translation and Deaf-to-Deaf church planting efforts.

We believe God has called DOOR International to reach the Deaf for Christ through translation, training, and partnerships. Estimated at 70 million, the Deaf are thought to be one of the largest unreached people groups in the world. Doors of opportunity are now opening among the Deaf, and God's Spirit is entering hearts and transforming lives. SOME OF OUR CORE VALUES - We value the Deaf as a people group with a rich language and culture. - We value the Deaf as the leaders and providers of Deaf ministry, giving leadership and direction to the ministry at all levels. - We value Chronological Bible Study (CBS) as the best initial spiritual formation resource for the Deaf. - We value spiritual unity, and the sharing of gifts between Deaf and hearing believers for the purpose of building God's Kingdom among the Deaf.
