Mark Walters

Mark Walters has been working in the software engineering and development field since 1996. Mark began their career as a Software Engineer at Racal Defence Electronics and then moved to Cognos in 1999, where they held the role of Senior IS Specialist. In this role, they were responsible for development management, people management, finance, HR and Sales system development and integration, as well as C# .Net development lead and SQL Server and Oracle Database design. In 2015, Mark joined IBM as a Storage Systems Senior Developer, where they were responsible for C and Java development of high performance SAN volume controller software and clustered system development with custom Linux kernel. In 2016, Mark moved to Experian as a Product Lead Software Engineer, where they were the lead developer for Experian's ID Hub product and 3rd line support manager. In 2018, Mark joined DOOR Ventures Inc. as the Head of Engineering, Lead Software Architect, and Lead Developer.

Mark Walters received their MEng (Hons) in Computer Systems and Software Engineering from the University of York between 1992 and 1996. Mark also holds certifications from Udemy in Docker Hands-on (August 2020), Modern React with Redux (July 2020), and Gradle Masterclass (June 2020). Mark also holds a Sun Certified Java Programmer J2SE5 certification from Sun Education Services, obtained in July 2008.
