Caleb Duarte (Kaleb)

Caleb Duarte is a full-time artist and educator with extensive experience in both teaching and artistic direction. Since February 2019, Caleb has held the Creative Capital award, showcasing a commitment to innovative art. At the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts since September 2018, Caleb has contributed to the "Bay Area Now 8" exhibition. Additionally, as a Professor of Sculpture on a tenure track at Fresno City College since August 2018, Caleb educates the next generation of artists. Formerly, Caleb was an artistic director at the Red Poppy Art House from February 2015 to August 2016 and has served as an artist resident with the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation since February 2015. Academic credentials include a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, earned between 2007 and 2009.
