Tim Checketts

Tim Checketts has over 30 years of work experience, with a focus on sales, business development, and leadership roles.

Tim is currently working as the Global Head of Specification Sales and Business Development at dormakaba, starting in March 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Specification and Business Development at dormakaba UK & Ireland from August 2019 to March 2022.

Before their time at dormakaba, Tim served as the Sales & Business Development Director at ASSA ABLOY UK from June 2016 to August 2019.

From February 2013 to June 2016, they were the EMEA Sales Leader- Specialist Products at Honeywell Security and Fire, where their responsibilities included developing and implementing sales strategies and business plans.

Tim also has experience at NG Bailey as the Head of Sales & Business Development- Building System Integration from April 2008 to February 2013. At Tunstall Group, they held various roles such as Strategic Business Unit Manager, Group Product Marketing Manager, Senior Product Manager, and Product Manager, with responsibilities including business development, product marketing, and product lifecycle management.

During their early career, they worked at Portakabin in roles such as Product Marketing Manager, Major Account Manager, and Regional Sales Manager, focusing on product and market strategy in the telecommunications industry.

Tim Checketts attended Leeds Beckett University from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained an MBA degree in Business. Tim also pursued further studies at Leeds Beckett University and obtained a CIM-Professional Post Grad Diploma in Marketing and a CIM-Post Grad Diploma in Marketing. Prior to their time at Leeds Beckett University, Tim Checketts attended Sutton College, where they earned a CIM Certificate in Marketing and a BTEC National in Business & Finance.
