Nick VanderStel is an experienced FPGA and Embedded Software Engineer with a diverse background in software testing and electrical engineering. Currently employed at DornerWorks Ltd. since February 2013, Nick also held positions as a Software Test Engineer at Gentex Corporation and completed a senior project with Fulton Innovation LLC, where a wirelessly powered 3D mouse was developed. Previous experience includes an Electrical Engineering Co-op at L-3 Communications Avionics Systems, focusing on avionics equipment software testing and documentation for DO-178B certification, as well as an internship at Shape Corporation, where responsibilities involved troubleshooting PLC-based controls and designing press and feeder controls. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Grand Valley State University, earned in 2010.
