Andres Cardozo

Andres Cardozo has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles.

From January to April 2017, they worked at make-R as a Research and Development Engineer, overseeing mechanical engineering activities for the design and validation of new 3D printers.

Starting from May 2017, they joined IBK-Innovation GmbH & Co. KG as an R&D Engineer for Flight Physics. In this role, they developed software tools, supported preliminary structural designs, analyzed aeroelastic models, and researched innovative numerical solutions in the Dynamic Loads and Aeroelasticity Department. Andres used software tools such as Matlab, C/C++, Python, Qt, LabVIEW, Patran, and Nastran.

Since July 2023, Andres has been working at Dornier Seawings GmbH as a Flight Physics Engineer. Andres is responsible for flight loads calculation, aeroelastic model analysis, test planning, flight test data analysis, and certification support for new aircraft.

Andres Cardozo has a strong educational background in engineering and finance. Andres obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad del Norte, where they studied from 2009 to 2016. Following that, they attended Politecnico di Milano from 2013 to 2016, earning a Master's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. In order to further develop their skills in finance, Andres completed a MicroMasters program in Finance from MITx Courses, studying during the academic year 2021-2022. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certifications in Microsoft® Project 2013 Essential Training and Project Management Fundamentals from LinkedIn in October 2016.
