Tory Martin

Tory Martin is an experienced communications and strategic partnerships professional currently serving as the Director of Communications & Strategic Partnerships at the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy since October 2017. In this role, Tory is responsible for enhancing relationships with external partners and funders while raising the center's national profile. Prior to this, Tory worked at NPR as the Manager of Grants & Reports, where responsibilities included securing philanthropic gifts and maintaining donor relationships. Earlier experience at the Smithsonian Institution encompassed multiple roles, including Project Coordinator for notable initiatives and Education Specialist, showcasing skills in event production and digital content development. Tory holds a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from the University of Virginia.
