Jay Lindgren

Jay Lindgren is a Partner at Dorsey & Whitney LLP, with expertise in Land Use and Project Development, Municipal Law and Public Finance, and serves as Chair of the Urban Redevelopment and Infrastructure practices. Since joining the firm in 2002, Jay has represented developers and municipal governments in navigating complex issues related to land use and infrastructure. Prior to this role, Jay served as Chief Administrator of the Metropolitan Council, overseeing a $530 million budget and 3,700 employees for community development and land use planning in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Jay's legal career began at Dorsey & Whitney as a Public Finance Attorney, and previous legislative experience includes serving as both State Senator and State Representative in the North Dakota Legislative Assembly. Jay earned a J.D. from The University of North Dakota School of Law and a degree from Concordia College.
