Oleg Simonov

CTO at Dots

Oleg Simonov is currently the CTO at Dots. Previously, they served as the VP, Head of Technology at High 5 Games from December 2016 to September 2019. There, they executed a technology turnaround that resulted in profitability and a reverse of negative revenue growth. Oleg also upgraded key engineering talent and achieved systems quality and stability. In addition, they implemented a technology modernization strategy that led to operational cost savings and revenue-impacting LiveOps and analytics driven features.

Before High 5 Games, Mr. Simonov worked at NYSE from March 2013 to December 2016 as the Sr Program Manager for the Next Generation Trading Platform (Pillar). There, they overcame bleeding edge technology risks, conservative culture, and 10x developers to take unproven but powerful proprietary technologies to high maturity levels required to support mission critical NYSE operations.

Prior to their work at NYSE, Mr. Simonov was the Director of Next Generation Technology at ITG from November 2009 to March 2013. Before ITG, they served as Lead Architect for the SOA Center of Excellence at Merrill Lynch from November 2005 to November 2009. And before Merrill Lynch, they were the Head of Systems Integration at Barnes&Noble.com from May 2002 to November 2005.

Oleg Simonov has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stony Brook University.
