Monica Chin-Perez

Monica Chin-Perez has a diverse work experience in the field of archiving and management. Monica started their career as an Archaeologist at Tel Dor Excavations in 2005 and later worked as a Volunteer at the Stanford Archaeology Center in 2008. In 2009, they interned at Lucasfilm and also served as a Registrar at the UCLA/RUG Fayum Archaeological Excavation. Monica then joined the New York Public Library as an Assistant Registrar in 2007, followed by an internship at the Museum of Modern Art. Monica briefly worked as a Temporary Assistant Registrar at the International Center of Photography. Monica returned to Lucasfilm in 2010, where they held the roles of Assistant Registrar and later Film Archivist until 2016. Monica is currently employed at Double Fine Productions as a Sr. Archivist & Culture Manager since April 2022 and previously served as their Office Manager since June 2016.

Monica Chin-Perez holds a Master's Degree in Museology/Museum Studies from New York University, which they obtained between 2006 and 2008. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz, from 2004 to 2006. Monica also earned an Associate's Degree in Fine and Studio Arts from Peralta Community Colleges, where they studied from 2001 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from TEFL Online in October 2008.
