Anna MacHaj

Anna Machaj has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Anna worked as an Associate Director of Information Security at Douglas College since March 2018. Prior to that, Anna served as the Director and CIO at Vancouver Island University from August 2015 to June 2017. Anna also held the position of Director of Enterprise Systems at Thompson Rivers University from August 2004 to August 2015. Anna was previously a Senior Systems Analyst at the Open Learning Agency, before it merged with UCC and became part of Thompson Rivers University. Anna began their career as a Systems Analyst at Teekay Shipping in 1992 and later worked as an Associate Consultant at Visual Systems.

Anna Machaj holds a Master of Science (MSc) and a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Economics from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in 2020, the COBIT certification from ISACA in 2019, the Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2018, and an ITIL Certification. Anna Machaj also has a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
