Helen Giambrone has extensive experience in public health, currently serving as a Disease Investigator at Douglas County Health Department since November 2009. In this role, Helen leads communicable disease outbreak investigations, including significant projects such as COVID-19 contact investigations and Zika case management. Previously, Helen managed the Transitional Living Program at Youth Emergency Services, Inc., where responsibilities included program development and staff management. Earlier positions also include serving as a Disease Intervention Specialist at Douglas County Health Department and an Investigative Epidemiologist at Kansas City, Missouri Health Department, focusing on sexually transmitted infections. Helen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and History from Rockhurst University.
