Justin F.

Justin F. has a diverse work experience in the field of public health. Justin currently serves as a Global Response Team Member at the World Health Organization. In the past, they have held various roles at the Douglas County Health Department, including Division Chief, Supervisor of Communicable Disease Epidemiology, and Communicable Disease Epidemiologist. At the University of Nebraska Medical Center, they have worked as an Adjunct Faculty member. Additionally, Justin has served as a Site Visitor for the Council on Education for Public Health, accrediting schools and programs in public health.

Justin F. has a diverse educational background with a focus on public health and emergency preparedness. Justin obtained a Doctor of Public Health degree in Emergency Preparedness from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where they studied from 2021 to 2024. Prior to this, Justin completed the Great Plains Public Health Leadership Institute program at the same institution in 2015. In 2010, they earned a Master's degree in Public Health and Public Administration from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Justin has an undergraduate degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation, which they obtained from Northwest Missouri State University in 2003. Justin completed their high school education at Gretna High School from 1994 to 1998.

In addition to their formal education, Justin has also obtained several certifications relevant to their field. Justin obtained the Certified in Public Health certification from the National Board of Public Health Examiners in 2012. Justin has also completed various courses offered by FEMA, including Introduction to the Incident Command System, Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response, and An Introduction to the National Incident Management System, all in 2011. More recently, in 2021 and 2022, they obtained certifications in Incident Management System (tier 1) from the World Health Organization and Exercise Design and Development and An Introduction to Exercises from FEMA, respectively.
