Mark Van Genderen has extensive work experience in various leadership positions. Mark is currently the President of the Work Truck Attachments division at Douglas Dynamics, Inc., where they have been since 2023. Prior to that, they served as the President of the Commercial Snow and Ice Division from 2021 to 2022 and as the Vice President of Business Development from 2020 to 2021.
Before joining Douglas Dynamics, Inc., Mark held multiple roles at Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Mark served as the General Manager of Riding Gear, Branded Apparel, Licensed Product, eCommerce, and Retail Environment in 2019, leading key business divisions generating $900 million annually. From 2017 to 2018, they were the Vice President of Product Development, responsible for $1 billion in annual wholesale revenue and leading worldwide regulatory efforts. Mark also served as the Vice President of Riding Gear, Casual Apparel, and Branded Products from 2014 to 2016 and as the Vice President and Managing Director of Latin America from 2007 to 2014, where they developed comprehensive strategies for growth and expansion in the Latin American market.
Mark's earlier roles at Harley-Davidson include Director of Investor Relations from 2004 to 2007, Director of Motorcycle Platform Marketing from 2000 to 2004, Dealer Development Manager from 1999 to 2000, and Manufacturing Production Scheduler from 1998 to 1999.
Prior to their tenure at Harley-Davidson, Mark co-founded Branch Capital Management LLC and served as Vice President from 1992 to 1996. Mark also worked as an Admissions Counselor at Hope College from 1990 to 1992. Overall, Mark Van Genderen has a diverse range of experience in leadership, business development, product management, and international operations.
Mark Van Genderen earned their MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management between 1996 and 1998. During this time, they focused on distinct majors in Finance, Marketing, Management and Strategy, and Organizational Behavior. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Hope College from 1986 to 1990, earning a B.A. with a major in Business Administration and a minor in German. In 2018, they obtained certification in CPR/AED/First Aid from the American Heart Association.
