Josh Phu

Josh Phu is the current Finance Manager at Dovetail. Prior to their current position, Josh was the Accounting Manager at Granular from January 2019 to June 2021. Josh's responsibilities included overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, taxes, prepaid amortization, fixed assets, COGS and OPEX. Josh also managed the intercompany and consolidation process, including interco elimination, identifying related parties, etc. In addition, Josh led the Brasil business and financial operations, including AR, AP, Commissions, Taxes. Furthermore, they oversaw the Capitalized Software Methodology and monthly calculations.

Before working at Granular, Josh was a Senior Associate at PwC from January 2018 to January 2019. Josh's responsibilities included auditing Banking clients and developing audit plans. Josh also identified and documented key business processes through flowcharts and provided recommendations to address control gaps as well as control duplications. In addition, Josh performed accounting treatment memos for significant and/or unusual transactions such as debt/equity instruments.

Josh Phu completed a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts at the University of Sydney Business School, majoring in Accounting and Finance and sociology. Josh then undertook an International Exchange Program at The University of Manchester, studying Accounting and Business/Management. Upon returning to Australia, Josh Phu completed their Chartered Accountant Qualification at Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Josh Phu reports to Emlyn Gavin, Head of Revenue & Operations. They work with and Tom Belica - Workplace Ops Manager.
