Shauna Esposito - Caldwell

Shauna was born in Ellsworth and after graduating from Ellsworth High School, traveled to Westerville, Ohio where she received her Bachelor’s Degree and began her love for early childhood education. After 15 years in Ohio she returned to Maine and joined the Y team in 2013 as a Lead Toddler Teacher. Shauna soon took over the Toddler Program and Early Preschool Program, creating one program. Shauna loves working with children, families and staff and always has a clear vision for growth, development and inspiration. In July of 2019, she moved into the Director of Childcare Services position. She has over 20 years of experience in early childhood, with 3 years in special education. Her philosophy is to believe all children are individuals and as educators we can help light the spark within them.
