David Rees

David Rees serves as Executive General Manager of Business Performance at Downer, overseeing a range of functions including Finance, Commercial, ICT Program, and People, Performance & Culture since June 2014. Their experience includes significant roles such as Head of Finance & Corporate Services for Major Projects and Finance Director for multiple major bids, where David has played a crucial role in securing contracts totaling $3.7 billion. Prior to Downer, David held various management positions at Qantas Airways, focusing on workforce planning, commercial strategy, and financial control, and gained foundational experience at KPMG in both Australia and the UK. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Bath and is a member of the ICAEW.
