Rick Durkin

Rick Durkin is an experienced educator currently serving as an Emotional Support Teacher and Assistant High School Track Coach at Downingtown Area School District since June 2019. Prior to this, Rick Durkin worked as an Emotional Support Teacher for grades 7-12 at Octorara Area School District, where responsibilities included direct instruction in social-emotional learning, development of individualized education plans, and facilitation of mindfulness sessions. Rick Durkin holds a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and several certifications, including Health & Physical Education from Eastern University and Special Education K-12 from Immaculata University. Additionally, Rick Durkin obtained a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Gratz College and an Associate of Arts in Education from Delaware County Community College.
