Anna Ransbotham-Cole has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. Anna started their career as a Financial Analyst/Intern at Preferred Credit, Inc., where they improved the data warehouse and worked on the efficacy analysis of collections letter campaigns.
Anna then worked as a Statistical Consultant for Theresa Estrem, PhD, where they compiled charts and graphs, produced ANOVA tables and regression models, and presented their findings at the Student Research Colloquium at SCSU.
At the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service, Anna worked as a Mathematical Statistician intern, performing research on imputation techniques and presenting their results to the entire branch.
Anna also gained teaching experience as a Statistics Instructor and Graduate Assistant at St. Cloud State University, where they prepared and taught introductory statistics courses and collaborated on redesigning the statistics program.
Anna then worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Northern Colorado, collaborating on enrollment research projects to increase profitability through the use of data mining.
At Centers for American Indian/Alaskan Native Health, they served as a Statistical Analyst/Programmer, aiding in the development of a Beta Testing Plan for a research grant focused on healthcare availability and its relationship to obesity and comorbidities.
Anna then joined Return Path as a Data Analyst, where they independently and collaboratively improved and created products and solutions using data. Anna later became a Data Scientist, building models to understand patterns and predict outcomes, and eventually became the Senior Manager of the Data Science team, responsible for budgeting and team management.
Currently, Anna works at Doximity, starting as a Data Analyst, Team Lead, where they collaborated with data engineers, product managers, and analysts to improve data integrity and produce insights. Anna then became a Data Science & Analytics Manager and later a Senior Data Science & Analytics Manager, managing teams of analysts, setting goals, and providing learning opportunities.
Anna currently holds the position of Director of Data Science & Analytics, News at Doximity, where they work alongside product and engineering leadership to optimize the ways their various news product teams leverage data. Anna is also responsible for managing a team of data analysts and ensuring data projects align with the product vision.
Anna Ransbotham-Cole obtained a Master's degree in Data Science, Analytics & Modeling Specialization from Northwestern University in 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Applied Statistics from St. Cloud State University in 2010. Anna'seducational journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Statistics, which they completed at St. Cloud State University in 2008.
