Senior Software Engineer, Android at Doximity

Ricardo García Fernández has extensive work experience in software engineering, with a focus on Android development. In their most recent position at Doximity since 2020, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in Android development. Prior to that, Ricardo worked as an Android Developer at Doximity from 2020 to 2021. Before joining Doximity, Ricardo spent two years at Citi from 2018 to 2019, where they were responsible for developing Android apps as subapps within the Citi Mobile app. Ricardo worked on various stages of project development, including planning, estimation, design, implementation, and unit testing. Ricardo also worked at Tekbees from 2016 to 2018 as a Software Engineer, leading and developing different applications. Ricardo was involved in mobile development projects primarily written in Java and C#, focusing on biometrics authentication and financial transactions messaging. Ricardo played the role of Scrum Master for several projects and was responsible for requirements elicitation, technical proposals development, and project task assignment.

Ricardo García Fernández holds a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, which they obtained from 2013 to 2015. Before that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Ingeniería de sistemas at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana from 2009 to 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Ricardo has obtained several certifications. In June 2018, they became Scrum Product Owner Certified from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile. Ricardo also holds the Scrum Master Certified certification from the same institution, obtained in March 2018. In July 2017, Ricardo received the Scrum Fundamentals Certified certification. Furthermore, they obtained their TOEFL certification from ETS Global B.V. in April 2013.
