Mollie R. Cummins is a distinguished academic and researcher with extensive experience in nursing and informatics. Currently serving as a Professor at the University of Utah since March 2004, Cummins also holds the position of Associate Dean for Research and the PhD Program at the University of Utah College of Nursing and is a Senior Research Scientist at doxy.me since November 2022. In addition, Cummins has contributed as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics and served on the Steering Committee for the Alliance for Nursing Informatics. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Nursing Science and Information Science from Indiana University Bloomington, an MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Northern Kentucky University, and a BSN from the University of Illinois Chicago. Cummins has also participated in the Complex Systems Summer School at the Santa Fe Institute.
