Shaun Harrington has a long and varied work experience in software engineering. Shaun began their career in 1989 at Emerald Systems as a Software Engineer, where they tested the first Windows-based tape backup software and developed reusable C++ libraries for custom installation software and Windows user interface components. In 1990, they moved to Mountain Network Solutions as a Software Engineer, where they developed reusable C++ libraries for custom installation software and Windows user interface components for tape backup software. In 1993, they worked as a Software Engineer at Stac Electronics, developing Windows UI components and DOS interrupt hook components for a widely distributed real time data compression product. In 1995, they worked at both Veritas and Arcada Software as a Principal Software Engineer and Software Engineer, respectively, contributing to the 'BackupExec' and 'ReplicationExec' product lines. In 1997, they moved to Seagate Software as a Senior Software Engineer, developing Windows UI components for OEM backup and replication software distributed to global markets. Shaun then founded Planetharrington.com in 2001, where they worked as the Owner, switching between SEO efforts and working on custom website frameworks, responsive and mobile design, widgets, extensive ZenCart enhancements and WordPress plug-ins. Finally, they worked at SpendSmart Networks (formally SMS Masterminds) from 2013 to 2017 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were the principal software developer for the 'Engage' product. During their time there, the product grew from 5 licensees to over 200 licensees, and from 1 million mobile subscribers to over 7 million mobile subscribers. Most recently, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Dozuki from 2017 to present.
