Michael Kallies

Michael Kallies began their work experience as a Customer Service Representative at RBC in March 2012. In this role, they managed client monetary accounts, informed customers about banking products, and maintained files. In January 2013, they transitioned to the role of an English Teacher at YBM ECC, where they instructed primary level students in English as a second language and evaluated them through oral and written work. From March 2013 to September 2014, they worked as an English Teacher at St. John's English, where they continued to instruct primary level students and was responsible for training new foreign teacher staff. Michael then served as a Head Teacher at Joy World from September 2014 to September 2015, instructing English as a second language to primary level students, conducting weekly meetings with foreign teacher staff, and communicating concerns to superiors.

From May 2016 to August 2018, Michael worked at Foko as both a Junior Web Developer and Web Developer. In these roles, they developed web applications and assisted with various web development tasks. Starting in December 2018, they joined Rebel.com as a Software Developer, where they remained until January 2021.

In January 2021, Michael joined theScore as a Software Developer. Michael then progressed to the role of Tech Lead, Web in March 2022, and as of February 2023, holds the position of Engineering Manager, Web Platform.

Michael Kallies began their education at Brock University from 2007 to 2011, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences. Following this, in 2016 to 2017, they attended Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, focusing on Computer Programming and earning a degree in Computer Programming.
