Konstantin Tiazhelnikov 🇺🇦

Konstantin Tiazhelnikov has over 10 years of experience in the legal and data protection fields. Konstantin began their career in 2012 as a Legal Counsel at Baltic Leasing, Group of Companies, where they provided legal advice on basic issues involving business law and developed basic procedural documents. Konstantin was later promoted to Senior Legal Counsel in the same company, where they conducted client due diligence and third party compliance screening, identified legal risks in the process of making agreements, and drafted, negotiated, and conducted the examination of international supply contracts and related documents.

In 2017, Konstantin joined Carlsberg Group as the Chief Privacy Officer (Russia). Konstantin was also a Member of the 'Schrems II' Working Group (remote), where they reviewed data processing agreements with U. S. -based vendors and developed assessment strategies with regard to level of protection in third countries. During this time, they also held a short-term assignment as a Data Protection Associate.

In 2021, Konstantin joined Purpose and Means as an IAPP trainer and GDPR consultant. Konstantin also held roles as a GDPR Consultant & Manager at Globus.ai and a Data Protection collaborator at Privasee. Currently, Konstantin is a Privacy Consultant & Manager at DPOrganizer.

Konstantin Tiazhelnikov has a Master's degree in Civil Procedure, Arbitration Procedure from Saint Petersburg State University, which they obtained between 2010 and 2012. Konstantin also has a Bachelor's degree in Law from the same university, which they obtained between 2006 and 2010. Konstantin has also obtained several certifications, including a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) in May 2021, a Certificate of continuing education completion (NIST Privacy Framework) from Cybrary in November 2020, a Certificate of completion for the GDPR Data Protection Officer Skills from the University of Derby in October 2020, a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) from the IAPP in April 2021, a Certified Information Privacy Professional / Europe (CIPP/E) from the IAPP in August 2020, a Vendor Management Expert from OneTrust in January 2021, and a Privacy Management Professional from OneTrust in December 2020.
