Michael Schwarz

Michael Schwarz, MSc, PE, LEED AP has over 25 years of experience in the engineering field. Currently, they serve as the Senior Vice President of Project Operations at DPS Group Global, where they oversee and manages various projects. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Technical Services/Project Management at the same company.

From 2018 to 2021, Michael held the position of Principal and Director of Engineering at CSArch. In this role, they were responsible for leading the engineering department and overseeing the technical aspects of projects.

Before joining CSArch, Michael worked at M+W Group for 16 years, starting as a Lead Mechanical Engineer and progressing to the positions of Mechanical Engineering Platform Lead and Mechanical Engineering Discipline Director. In their role as Director of Engineering & Mechanical Engineering Discipline Director, they were in charge of the engineering department and played a key role in project management.

Earlier in their career, Michael worked as a Lead Mechanical Engineer at SMMA | Symmes Maini & McKee Associates. Michael also gained experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Vanderweil Engineers and Acorn Engineering & Consulting.

Michael Schwarz began their career as a Research Associate at the University of Arizona/NASA SERC, where they conducted research in their field of expertise.

Michael Schwarz holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Energy Systems Engineering from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart. Michael is also a Registered Mechanical Engineer, certified by NCEES.
