Luigi Mascolo is an Orbits R&D Engineer at Planet, excelling in satellite constellation management and optimization, mission planning, and space debris mitigation. Luigi is also an Adjunct Professor at Politecnico di Torino, specializing in Spaceflight Mechanics/Astrodynamics and Space Propulsion. Additionally, Luigi is a PhD Representative and Doctoral Researcher focusing on space trajectories optimization. Luigi is also a Team Leader and co-founder of DRAFT PoliTo, a team advancing drone technology with AI solutions. With a diverse background including experiences at Apple, CERN, and NASA JPL, Luigi has a strong foundation in aerospace engineering and a solid academic background with a PhD in Aerospace Engineering.
