Asim Mahmud has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Asim started their career in 2006 as a Doctor at Northwick Park Hospital NHS Trust and went on to work with other healthcare institutions like Ealing Hospital Trust, King George Hospital NHS Trust, Barts and The London NHS Trust, and The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Trust. In 2013, they took on a Strategic Marketing Intern role at Almirall in the Dermatology Business Unit. Asim then transitioned into the medical device industry, working at Coloplast in roles such as Market Manager in Wound Care for Australia and New Zealand and Global Marketing Program Manager for the Global Wound Care Business Unit. Asim also gained experience in business development and strategy at CollabCare. Recently, Asim has been working as a Senior Marketing Manager for Insulet International, specializing in European commercial launch readiness. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Marketing – Medical for Dräger in the UK and Ireland.
Asim Mahmud earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Imperial College London from 2000 to 2006. Asim later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from IESE Business School from 2012 to 2014.
