Larry Qing Lu

Larry Qing Lu has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Larry Qing currently holds the position of Head of Engineering Excellence - Electronics & Software at Dräger. Prior to this role, they worked as a Project Consultant at YER from November 2020 to January 2022.

Larry also gained experience working at Philips Engineering Solutions, where they held the roles of Senior Technical Project Manager and Technical Project Manager in 2021. Larry Qing was responsible for managing technical projects and ensuring their successful completion during their tenure.

Before joining Philips, Larry worked at Crane Payment Innovations as an Electronics & Software Manager from August 2019 to November 2020. In this role, they led a team responsible for enhancing, developing, and supporting coin products in the field.

Prior to that, Larry served as a Hardware Team Leader at Pyronix from November 2017 to August 2019. Larry Qing also briefly held the position of Hardware Technical Lead & Principle RF Engineer at the same company from June 2017 to October 2017.

Larry's earlier work experience includes roles at Eaton, where they worked as an RF Engineer and R&D Project Manager from July 2014 to June 2017. Larry Qing was responsible for designing wireless communication systems and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Larry Qing also contributed to the field of education, working as a Team Leader of the Energy Academy at Newcastle College from February 2014 to July 2014. Additionally, they held the positions of Development Leader and Engineering Lecturer at the same institution from September 2013 to February 2014 and from November 2011 to September 2013, respectively.

Furthermore, Larry was a part-time Lecturer/MSc Supervisor at Northumbria University from May 2008 to September 2012. Larry Qing taught courses on data and communication systems, digital and analogue circuits, and RF design, and supervised MSc projects in RF design.

Larry Qing Lu earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Microwave Communications Systems from Northumbria University between 2008 and 2012. Larry Qing also obtained several certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in November 2020, People Management from Acas in 2019, Chartered Engineer from the Engineering Council in 2016, and PMMI Mechatronics: Programmable Logic Controllers 1 (PLCs) from INTACS Industrial Training in 2013.
