Darek Jolliff

Darek Jolliff is from Modesto, California. He has always loved the outdoors, music, and all things alcohol. During his time in the Marine Corps (OORAH!) he spent a year and a half in Okinawa, Japan, and that is where he truly found his love for both Dragons and mixing cocktails. Darek learned how to tend bar at a little joint off base and enjoyed talking to people while making drinks.

After leaving the Marine Corps, he was either tending bar, waiting tables, or working part time at a liquor store. While living in Southern California, Darek found a new love for craft beer, and spent time going to new breweries and promoting them to family and friends. He started working as a bartender and quickly became the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager of the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. Darek learned more about the operational side of the bar and how to give the best customer service to each guest. He also worked as a bartender and Assistant Manager at a restaurant in Fountain Valley before moving to Twin Falls, Idaho.

Besides his love for tending bar, Darek also has a degree in Computer Programming. While in Idaho, Darek started working for Dell and after six years he moved his family to Round Rock, Texas to continue his career. He never forgot his passion for the liquor industry and started working for Spec's part-time. This is where he met Lamar and Laura at the beginning of their Dragon adventure. After a few more years, Darek decided to leave and take his next step towards greatness and become a Dragon, following his life long passion for Dragons, his never-ending thirst for knowledge, and his love of spirits. Darek's next adventure has him moving to the Fort Collins, Colorado area during the summer of 2017. This will be just another chapter of his life, Dragon Forever.
