Principal Associate Scientist at Dragonfly Therapeutics

Nicholas Hammond has diverse work experience in the scientific field. Nicholas is currently employed as a Principal Associate Scientist at Dragonfly Therapeutics, Inc. since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate Scientist at Visterra Inc. from September 2020 to June 2022.

Before their roles at Dragonfly Therapeutics and Visterra, Nicholas gained valuable experience at Bristol-Myers Squibb as an Associate Research Scientist I. During their time there from April 2017 to August 2020, they worked in the Discovery Assays group, where they performed characterization assays and generated data packages.

Nicholas also has experience at Genzyme, where they worked as a Research Associate from July 2013 to April 2017. In this role, they conducted analytical assays on GMP drug samples and served as the site administrator for the STARLIMS laboratory information management application.

Additionally, Nicholas has worked in various roles during their early career. Nicholas served as the Coordinator of After-school Programming at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago from July 2012 to June 2013. Prior to that, they were an Intern at Bach Pharma, where they contributed to clinical trial protocols, facilitated communication between executives and scientists, and analyzed scientific articles.

During their time at Merrimack College, Nicholas worked as a Level III Peer Tutor at the Math Center from August 2010 to May 2012. Nicholas also served as an Ambassador in the Admissions Office from January 2010 to May 2012.

In addition to their professional experiences, Nicholas demonstrated a commitment to community service as a Student Leader in the Alternative Spring Break Program from January 2008 to January 2012. Their responsibilities included organizing and leading community service trips to various locations and facilitating group meetings and fundraising efforts.

Their earliest work experience was as a Clerk at Kelly's Roast Beef from July 2006 to August 2009.

Nicholas Hammond completed their education from Minuteman Regional High School in the field of Environmental Technology in 2008. Nicholas then pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Biology, General from Merrimack College and successfully completed it in 2012.
