Ligang Zhou

Ligang Zhou is an experienced professional in the field of biopharmaceuticals, currently serving as an Associate Principal Scientist at Merck since June 2025. Prior to this role, Ligang Zhou held various positions at WuXi Biologics from March 2020 to June 2025, including Director and Associate Director, specializing in vaccine upstream process development. Additionally, Ligang Zhou worked as a Scientist at Teva Pharmaceuticals from August 2017 to March 2020 and as a Process Development Scientist at XBiotech USA, Inc. in 2016-2017, focusing on upstream process development for monoclonal antibody production. Ligang Zhou's early career included a tenure as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin from 2008 to 2016, investigating the interaction between host innate immune responses and the influenza virus. Ligang Zhou holds a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from Hubei University.
