Chuck Moran

Chuck Moran has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple companies and roles. Chuck began their career at Auburn University as an Assistant IT Technician, where they developed a technical process for remotely deploying iMacs and provided troubleshooting assistance. Chuck then worked as an IT Telecom Support Staff, assisting the IT Security operations team on special projects and performing log auditing tasks.

Following their time at Auburn University, Chuck joined Southern Company as an IT Security Analyst. In this role, they served as a senior member of the IT Security operations team and held responsibilities such as firewall and network security consulting, threat detection and incident response, and forensic exams using various tools. Chuck also acted as an internal subject matter expert for multiple security products.

After Southern Company, Chuck joined Wurldtech Security Technologies as a Senior Security Analyst, focusing on security analysis tasks. Chuck later moved to GE Digital, where they worked as a Principal Cybersecurity Consultant, assisting clients with cybersecurity solutions and services.

Currently, Chuck is employed at Dragos, Inc. as a Principal Resident Engineer, with a special focus on field operations and engineering.

Chuck Moran attended the following educational institutions:

- From 2009 to 2010, they studied at The SANS™ Institute, but did not earn a degree or specialize in any field.

- Between 2005 and 2008, they pursued a Bachelor of Wireless Engineering (BWE) degree in Wireless Engineering at Auburn University.

- From 2003 to 2004, they attended Gadsden State Community College, earning an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Computer Science with a focus on Network Administration.

- Starting in 2011, they enrolled in the University of Alabama at Birmingham where they are currently pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Forensics and Security Management.
