John Fender

John Fender is an accomplished Associate Professor of Art and Graphic Design at Drake University, with tenure starting in August 1999. Fender has served as Chair of the Department of Art and Design since July 2018 and held the position of Interim Chair from July 2005 to January 2006. Prior to this role, Fender was an Assistant Professor at Morningside College and worked as an Assistant Professor and Interim Chair at the University of Iowa Museum of Art. Additionally, Fender operates a freelance design consultancy, Fender Design Office, since July 1995. Educational credentials include a Master of Fine Arts in Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art and Design, both from the University of Iowa.
