Karen Branding is a Trustee at Drake University. Karen has over three decades of experience in marketing, communications, and management.

Karen started their career as a Presidential Management Fellow at the U.S. Department of the Treasury in Washington, D.C. From there, they held various positions at the Department of Treasury from 1984 to 1987.

In 1987, they became an Analyst at the Office of Management and Budget until 1990 when they joined Fleishman-Hillard as an AE. Karen left Fleishman-Hillard in 1992 to join Anheuser-Busch as the Director of Corporate Communications.

In 1996, they became the President & CEO of Busch Creative Services Corp, an Anheuser-Busch subsidiary. Karen remained in that role until 2002 when they were promoted to Corporate VP at Busch Entertainment Corp, also an Anheuser-Busch subsidiary.

Karen left Busch Entertainment Corp in 2007 to become the Associate Dean of Marketing & Communications at Washington University's Olin Business School. Karen served in that role until 2010 when they joined Drake University as a Trustee.

Karen Branding has an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School, an MPA from Indiana University Bloomington in the field of public policy, and a BA in public administration from Drake University.
