Patricia Prijatel

E.t. Meredith Distinguished Professor Emeritus

Patricia Prijatel is an accomplished author and educator with extensive experience in journalism and writing. As the founder of Positives About Negative and an author of multiple inspirational works, including "Surviving Triple-Negative Breast Cancer" and "To Heal Our Wounded Mountain," Prijatel addresses significant health and environmental issues. A recognized expert in the field, Patricia serves as E.T. Meredith Distinguished Professor Emeritus at Drake University, where roles have included Director of the Journalism School and E.T. Meredith Distinguished Professor of Journalism. Additionally, Patricia works as a health writer and editorial consultant for Magazine Masters, and has co-authored a leading book on magazine development used by educational institutions worldwide. Patricia holds a BA in Mass Communication and English from Colorado State University Pueblo.
