Ryan Wise

Ryan Wise currently serves as the Dean of the School of Education at Drake University since April 2020. Prior to this role, Ryan held several positions at the Iowa Department of Education from July 2012 to March 2020, including Director, Deputy Director, and Director of Strategic Initiatives. Ryan's earlier experience includes a Doctoral Student in Education Leadership (Ed.L.D.) at Harvard University from August 2010 to April 2013, and managing growth strategy and development at Teach For All between May 2008 and September 2010. From June 2003 to May 2008, Ryan was the Executive Director for Teach For America in South Dakota, and worked as a Social Studies Teacher at Omaha Public Schools and Rosa Fort High School between June 2000 and June 2003. Ryan holds a Doctor of Education Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, a Teaching Endorsement from Creighton University, and a BA in History from Creighton University.
