Group Head Of Media And PR at Drax

Ali Lewis has a diverse work experience, starting in 2003 as a News reporter and Night News Editor for The Northern Echo. Ali went on to work as a Features Editor for North News and Pictures from 2004 to 2005. In 2006, they became a Communications Officer for Darlington Borough Council and later served as the Acting Head of Communications. From 2010 to 2014, they worked as a PR Consultant for Ali Lewis Media and then as a Senior PR Account Manager for Gardiner Richardson. In 2014, they joined the Department of Energy and Climate Change as a Media Officer and later became a Senior Media Officer. Ali then served as the Head of Communications for the Youth Justice Board for England and Wales from 2015 to 2016. Since 2016, Ali has been with Drax Group, initially as the Head of Media Relations, then as the Interim Group Head of Media and PR, and currently as the Group Head of Media and PR. Additionally, in 2011, Ali published their debut novel, "Everybody Jam," which received several awards and nominations.

Ali Lewis started their education in 1994 at the University of Sunderland, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Studies. Ali completed their degree in 1997. In 2007, they enrolled at the Open University to study Creative Writing and completed the program in 2008. The following year, in 2008, they attended the University of Sunderland again to earn a CIPR Diploma. Additionally, in 2000, they received training in journalism from the National Council for the Training of Journalists.
