Lord Paul Drayson

Lord (Paul) Drayson has had a varied work experience. In 2014, they were appointed as the External Member of Council for the University of Oxford and Non Executive Director of the Royal Navy Board. Lord (Paul) also founded Freevolt Technologies Limited that same year, where they held the roles of Chairman and CEO. In 2007, they founded Drayson Racing Technologies Limited and served as the Managing Partner and Racing Driver. In 2010, they were appointed Honorary President of the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA). In 2012, they became a Scientific Advisor for Formula E Holdings. In 2017, they joined the board of Airbus as a Non Executive Board Member. In 2018, they founded Sensyne Health and served as the CEO. In addition, Lord Drayson has been a Member of the House of Lords since 2004 and a Member of the Science & Technology Committee since 2004. In 2015, they were appointed as a Supernumerary Fellow at St John's College, Oxford.

Lord (Paul) Drayson began their education in 1979 at Aston University, where they obtained a BSc (Hons) in Production Engineering in 1982. Lord (Paul) then continued their studies at Aston University, where they completed a PhD in Robotics in 1985. Lord (Paul) also attended St Dunstan's College. Additionally, Lord Drayson has obtained two fellowships, one from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and one from the Royal Academy of Engineering.
