Eileen Cannon

Eileen Cannon has a diverse work experience in the fields of education and product management. Eileen is currently working as a Principal Product Manager at DreamBox Learning since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Independent Consultant starting from April 2016.

In their previous roles, Eileen worked as a Senior Director of Content & Curriculum Strategy at Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) Education from February 2018 to July 2020, where they led the development and delivery of educational tools and content for classrooms in partnership with public television stations.

Eileen also worked as a Program Manager at the Curry School of Education, University of Virginia from January 2017 to February 2018, where they launched a new initiative to partner with Virginia K-8 Priority Schools.

Before that, Eileen was the Special Projects & Partnerships Manager at XQ Institute from December 2015 to April 2016, where they managed various aspects of a national education competition. Eileen also worked as a Principal Consultant and Product Manager at Amplify from July 2012 to December 2015, supporting client needs and executing cross-functional development plans.

In addition, Eileen has experience as an Instructional Coach at Time To Know from July 2010 to June 2012, collaborating with teachers and administrators to implement a digital teaching platform. Eileen started their career as a Teacher at Explore Charter School from August 2008 to July 2010, Alexandria City Public Schools from July 2006 to June 2008, and Fairfax County Public Schools from 2001 to 2006.

Eileen Cannon's education history includes earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and a Master's degree in Teaching from the University of Virginia. Eileen also obtained a Certificate in Library Media Specialist for K-12 from the University of Virginia. Additionally, Eileen attended General Assembly in 2012 for Product Management studies. Before their university studies, Eileen attended Mclean High School.

In terms of additional certifications, Eileen received the edX Verified Certificate for Becoming a More Equitable Educator: Mindsets and Practices from edX in June 2021. Eileen also obtained a CLASS Observation certification from Teachstone in October 2017. In 2013, Eileen acquired the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from Agile Scrum Alliance™. Eileen also completed the courses "Grow to Greatness: Smart Growth for Private Businesses" from Coursera and "Practical Product Management" from Pragmatic Marketing in March and October 2012, respectively.
