Gustavo Gutierrez

Gustavo Gutierrez has a diverse work experience in the gaming and animation industry. Gustavo started their career as an intern at Bait and Switch TV, where they created Flash parodies and animations. Gustavo then worked as a junior artist at Electrified Games, contributing to various Pokemon-related projects. Following this, Gustavo joined RockYou as a digital artist, where they worked on the design and animation of avatars, backgrounds, and UI elements.

In 2012, Gustavo joined Storm8 as a game artist and later became a senior animator. Gustavo worked on various projects and contributed to the development of games.

Gustavo then joined Lumos Labs (Lumosity) in 2017 as a senior game artist. Gustavo worked on multiple projects, including game concepts, motion graphics, and user experience design.

In 2019, Gustavo worked at Google as a senior motion artist for the project "Where on Google Earth is Carmen Sandiego." Gustavo created pixel animations and character art in adherence to the show's art style. Additionally, they worked on social media ads and teasers.

After working at Google, Gustavo joined GC Turbo Inc. as a senior game artist. Gustavo worked on projects like "Pokemon Battle Medallion" and "The Walking Dead," creating game effects, illustrations, and animations. Gustavo also collaborated with the Japan office to maintain branding for the IPs they were working on.

Most recently, Gustavo joined DreamBox Learning in 2021 as a senior artist and acting art director. Gustavo is involved in developing and producing lessons and features for DreamBox Learning Math and DreamBox Learning Reading Park. Gustavo optimized the artist pipeline to deliver assets and marketing materials more efficiently and created a 3D model of one of DreamBox's mascots.
