Jason Hurst Frye started their work experience in 2001 as a Web Designer for JHFdesigns, where they provided website consultation, mapping, design, domain registration, hosting setup, and identity branding services for clients until 2003. Jason then worked as a Texture Artist at Brainiac Studios for a brief period in 2006. From 2007 to 2018, Jason served as a Senior Artist at Big Fish Games. During this time, they gained significant experience in the gaming industry. In 2018, they joined DreamBox Learning as a UX/Lesson Designer, collaborating with various teams to create engaging learning experiences for young learners. Jason's responsibilities at DreamBox included driving design from inception to release of game sets, analyzing play data to identify areas of improvement, and advocating for platform-level enhancements to increase accessibility and usability.

Jason Hurst Frye has a strong educational background in the field of art and multimedia studies. Jason earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Animation and Visual Effects (VSFX) from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) from 2004 to 2006. In the same year, they also attended SCAD Lacoste for a short period to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drawing and Art History. Prior to their time at SCAD, Jason completed an Associate of Arts degree in Multimedia Studies at Portland Community College from an unknown start date to 2003.
