Mikkel Settnes

Mikkel Settnes is the Director of Data Science at Dreamdata. Prior to their current position, they served as a Senior Data Scientist at Blackwood Seven from March 2017 to October 2020. Mikkel was also a Visiting Research Fellow at Institut Català de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia (ICN2) from August 2016 to December 2016. Furthermore, they were a Post Doctoral Researcher at DTU - Technical University of Denmark from January 2016 to March 2017.

Settnes’ work in the field of quantum transport and light-matter interaction with focus on applications within nanoelectronics optical devices has resulted in 5 publications in internationally peer-reviewed journals. Mikkel has also established international collaboration with several high profile universities in Europe and USA.

Mikkel Settnes has a PhD in Physics & Nanotechnology from DTU - Technical University of Denmark. Mikkel also has a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics & Nanotechnology from the same school, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics & Nanotechnology from UC Santa Barbara.

Mikkel Settnes reports to Ole Dallerup, CTO & co-founder. They are on a team with and Patrick-Ranjit D. Madsen - Director of Engineering. Some direct reports include Iker Camara Bengoechea - Analytics Engineer, Jing Lin - Data Scientist.
