David Wahlstrom has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. David began their career in 2005 as a Computer Consultant at BeckTek, where they provided technical assistance and remote server administration. In 2006, they joined DeVry University as a Network and Telecommunications Lab Assistant Manager. From 2008 to 2013, they worked as a Unix Systems Engineer at Memory Lane, where they specialized in maintaining Unix systems.

In 2013, Wahlstrom joined EMC Isilon as a Sr. Systems Engineer before transitioning to Ching Exchange in 2014 as their Chief Information Officer. Later in 2014, they joined DreamHost as a Principal Systems Architect and became a Principal Data Architect in 2022.

At DreamHost, Wahlstrom has been involved in various responsibilities, including product development, troubleshooting, database maintenance, Jenkins job creation, OpenStack service validation, infrastructure monitoring, cloud storage support, in-house code development, and contributions to OpenSource projects.

David Wahlstrom completed their education at DeVry University from 2004 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Network and Communications Management. Prior to that, they attended Tacoma Community College from 2003 to 2004, focusing on Computer Hardware/Software without obtaining a degree. In addition to their formal education, David Wahlstrom obtained certifications in NetApp Performance Analysis and NetApp Fundamentals from NetApp, in October 2010 and July 2010 respectively.
