Debopam Ghosh, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of biological research. Debopam is currently working as a Scientist II at Dren Bio, Inc. Prior to this, they served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stanford University, where they conducted research in the lab of Elizabeth Mellins, M.D. in the Department of Pediatrics, focusing on Human Gene Therapy. During their time at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, they worked as a Graduate Student Researcher, studying the function of a novel progenitor population in the spleen of mice and the effect of Plasmodium infection on its development. Debopam also identified the inflammatory environment necessary for the development of this atypical B cell progenitor population. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Scientific Officer at the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research, where they conducted research under the supervision of Mitali Chatterjee, M.D., Ph.D. Debopam also gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, studying the functions of membrane cholesterol and lipids in protection from Leishmania infection in mice. Additionally, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research, evaluating antibody titer and cytokine milieu in serum samples of Visceral Leishmaniasis patients and testing the virulence of Leishmania parasites in a mouse model. Prior to that, they gained training in various biology techniques as an Undergraduate Student at Maulana Azad College.

Debopam Ghosh, Ph.D. has an education history that includes earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Immunology from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Debopam attended this institution from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed a five-year Master's degree program in Biotechnology at St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata, from 2006 to 2011.
