Kathryn Riggan

Kathryn Riggan is an experienced educator currently serving as an Academic Instructional Specialist at Charles R Drew Charter School since July 2019, focusing on collaboration with administration and organizing large-scale educational events. Previously, Kathryn developed and implemented curriculum for fifth-grade science while emphasizing project-based learning. From July 2020 to May 2022, Kathryn worked as a CREATE Mentor Teacher, supporting new educators in enhancing their teaching practices. Prior experience includes serving as a flagship educator for Project Lead The Way and teaching sixth-grade science at Orange County Public Schools for over a decade, where Kathryn also coached middle school sports. Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida.
