Donald 'Fred' Lee has experience handling matters related to litigation for insurance, healthcare and corporate clients. His practice focuses specifically on the healthcare industry, particularly in the areas of risk management, health information, medical staff, credentialing, professional licensure, and other legal matters specific to this industry. Fred also handles matters related to workers' compensation defense.

Recently, Fred has completed the general civil mediation training and practicum at the J. W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Training at the University of Georgia and is certified as a court mediator by the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.

Fred has spoken on many occasions on miscellaneous topics to general healthcare audiences, and particularly enjoys regularly speaking to nursing students on medical and legal topics affecting nursing care. He serves on several committees at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

Fred was born in Albany, Georgia in 1960. He graduated summa cum laude from Mercer University in 1982, and then attended Mercer's Walter F. George School of Law, receiving his J.D., cum laude, in 1985. Fred was a member of the Mercer Law Review and the Brainerd Currie Honor Society. After graduation, Fred was selected as a law clerk to the Honorable Maurice M. Paul, United States District Court, Northern District of Florida.
