Garret Meader practices primarily in the area of civil litigation. He has experience defending and prosecuting complex tort and contract claims on behalf of individuals, corporations, and insurance companies from the inception of the lawsuit through trial. Garret has successfully tried cases to verdict in both state and federal courts as lead counsel. His practice includes an emphasis in business litigation, constitutional law, employment law, appellate practice, and the resolution of zoning issues.
Prior to practicing law, Garret was employed as Chief Information Officer for the Association County Commissioners of Georgia ("ACCG"). During his time at ACCG, Garret was appointed by former Governor Zell Miller to the Governor's Task Force on Warning and Communication and was appointed by former Governor Roy Barnes to the Census 2000 Complete Count Committee. While working towards his M.B.A., Garret authored The Free Internet Initiative in LaGrange, Georgia, which was published by Harvard Business School.
Garret currently serves as a Board Member for the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association (GDLA). He has served as President of the Glynn County Bar Association, President of the Golden Isles Soccer Association, Vice-President of the Commons at Frederica Homeowners Association, a general member of the Church Council at Wesley United Methodist Church, and served as a member of the Glynn County Board of Education's E-SPLOST Citizen's Oversight Committee.
