Ivo Tanaciev

Aircrew Training Device Instructor at DRG

Ivo Tanaciev has extensive work experience in various aviation and aircraft maintenance roles. Ivo started their career in 1989 with the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Craftsman, where they managed maintenance and generation of multiple aircraft. Ivo then progressed to become a Flight Mechanic and Flight Line Expeditor, gaining experience in operational and intermediate level aircraft maintenance.

In 1998, Ivo transitioned to the role of Flight Engineer for the Bell 212 (UH-1N) Helicopter. Here, they were responsible for computing weight and balance, ensuring aircraft maintenance, conducting pre-flight and post-flight checks, and following aircrew checklists.

In 2001, Ivo became a Flight Standards/Quality Assurance Flight Engineer. Ivo stood ready for immediate response alerts for White House and Department of Defense tasks, executing Operations Plans vital to national security. Ivo also performed in-flight navigation, communications, and special missions procedures.

From 2005 to 2008, Ivo served as a Training Specialist and Formal Training Instructor, instructing on the UH-1N helicopter. Ivo managed and supervised over 120 students annually and developed training courses and materials.

From 2008 to 2010, Ivo held the position of Senior Program Manager-Flight Standards/Quality Assurance, where they managed flying standards for aircrew instructors and investigated possible deviations from technical orders and Air Force instructions.

In 2011, Ivo joined Lockheed Martin Aeronautics as an Aircraft Supervisor for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Integrated Test Force. Ivo managed general services, repairs, and overhauls of aircraft and engines, along with training and supervising subordinates and assisting in signing off on aircraft exceptional release.

Since 2015, Ivo has been working at Delaware Resource Group as an Aircrew Training Device Instructor. Ivo provides instruction to active duty aircrew in UH-1N systems, operations, and procedures using various training media and assists in the development of instructional materials.

Ivo Tanaciev has a diverse educational background in the fields of curriculum and instruction, aviation operations, and aeronautics/aviation/aerospace science and technology. In 2006, they obtained a degree as an Instructor of Technology and Military Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Air University: Community College of the Air Force. During the same time period, they also earned an Associate in Applied Science in Aviation Operations from the same institution.

Additionally, Tanaciev has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology, General from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, which they pursued starting from 2019.

Furthermore, Tanaciev holds the certification of Occupational Instructor 2, which they obtained in August 2006 from Air University: Community College of the Air Force.
